NEA Pushes CRT & BLM
At its 2021 Annual Meeting & Representative Assembly, conducted virtually June 30 - July 3, the National Education Association (NEA) approved Business Item 39.
Among other things, Business Item 39 committed to endorsing critical race theory and joining with Black Lives Matter at School for a rally on George Floyd's birthday.
NEA Scrubs Website
Following public backlash, the NEA removed dozens of pages of assembly resolutions and proposed resolutions from its website, including Business Item 39.
The removal was first covered by Jessica Anderson, Director of Heritage Action. Anderson then provided access to archived pages from the NEA, capturing Business Item 39.
Gaslighting
The NEA's meeting comes on the heels of media gaslighting, with viewers being told that critical race theory is NOT being pushed in the classroom. Examples include MSNBC guest host Alicia Menendez stating, "Critical race theory is not taught before law school" (6/20/21) and CBS anchor Tanya Rivero stressing, "Is critical race theory being taught to my fifth grader? The answer is no. Critical race theory is an advanced topic that pretty much takes place at the graduate level."
